The CFJ-EN developed a practical guide to support a meaningful, safe, and ethical participation of children and young people with lived experience of the justice in decision-making processes, events, and projects that affect them. Grounded in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and European standards on participation, the guide - combining key principles with practical tools -  responds to the ongoing risk of tokenistic approaches.

Designed for institutions, organisations, and practitioners working in children’s rights, child justice, advocacy, and related fields, it offers concrete step-by-step guidance on how to balance children and young people’s views, agency, and protection.
